AEROSPACE ENGINEERING
THE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, CONSTRUCTION, TESTING, AND OPERATION OF VEHICLES THAT OPERATE IN EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE OR IN SPACE ARE ALL UNDER THE PURVIEW OF AEROSPACE ENGINEERING. THE EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE AND THE SPACE ABOVE IT WERE CONSIDERED A UNIFIED DOMAIN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF FLYING VEHICLES IN THE 1958 DEFINITION OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING
DURATION FOR AEROSPACE ENGINEERING
IT IS A FOUR-YEAR DEGREE PROGRAM. IT'S SPREAD OVER EIGHT SEMESTERS. DURING THIS PERIOD STUDENTS WILL HAVE THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL CLASSES ALONG WITH INTERNSHIPS AT THE END OF EACH EVEN SEMESTER
SCOPE OF AEROSPACE ENGINEERING
TECHNOLOGIES FOR USE IN SPACECRAFT, DEFENCE SYSTEMS, AND AVIATION ARE DEVELOPED BY AEROSPACE ENGINEERS. AERODYNAMIC FLUID FLOW, STRUCTURAL DESIGN, ROBOTICS, INSTRUMENTATION AND COMMUNICATION, GUIDANCE, NAVIGATION, AND CONTROL, AND PROPULSION AND COMBUSTION ARE A FEW EXAMPLES OF TOPICS THEY MIGHT CONCENTRATE ON.
AEROSPACE ENGINEERING ELIGIBILITY
APPLICANT MUST PASS 10+2 WITH PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, AND MATHEMATICS OR EQUIVALENT. STUDENTS HAVING ANY OTHER OPTIONAL SUBJECT IN PLACE OF CHEMISTRY ARE ALSO ELIGIBLE. E.G. COMPUTER SCIENCE IN PLACE OF CHEMISTRY ALONG WITH PHYSICS AND MATHEMATICS.
